![]() WATCH CURRENT TV. MAKE CURRENT TV. MEET CURRENT TV// Current TV will be at the Atlanta Underground Film Festival and we’d like to invite you to an exclusive meet and greet for filmmakers on Saturday, August 23rd, at 5pm. We’ll be there to chat one on one with filmmakers, discuss pitches and screen examples of our programming. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about Current and network with other filmmakers. WHAT IS CURRENT TV// Current is the first network created by, for and with a young audience. The network shows young adults what's going on in their world, in their voice. Current gives you the opportunity to create and influence what airs on TV. Roughly one-third of Current's on-air broadcast comes directly from our audience’s short-form (3 to 8 minute), nonfiction video "pods". We call this “Viewer Created Content" (VC2). Current’s pod programming seeks to redefine news and information by reporting on topics ranging from the hottest trends in technology, fashion, music and videogames, to pressing issues such as the environment, relationships, parenting, finance, politics and spirituality. WHY SHOULD I GET INVOLVED// We buy the content we play on our network directly from our viewers via the online studio (Current.com), and broadcast it in over 50 million homes worldwide. We also work closely with filmmakers, videographers, and animators providing creative freedom, exposure, and resources such as a royalty- free music library. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED// You can easily take part in Current TV if you have an idea and the ability to shoot it. Simply go out, film, edit and upload it. Everything you need to learn about shooting a pod for Current can be found online: check out current.com/make for extensive producer training, updated assignments, release forms and more.
